Wasting Times on The Right Person »

“In the end, it’s still best to wait for the one we want rather than settle for what’s available, it’s still best to wait for the one you love rather than to settle for the one who’s around, it’s still best to wait for the right person because life’s too short to waste on the wrong person.”

I found this quote as ‘intimidating’ but yet I saw it as dolce far niente.

AVAILABILITY
I can always pick one from the list if I wanted to. But, that’s not what I really wanted to do. There’s more than just selection, preference, or even option to deal with such AVAILABILITY. Frankly, I’d prefer to have the AVAILABILITY in terms of responsibility, willingness, and sharing. I don’t simply check on the AVAILABILITY in terms on money or what that person can provide me physically. I’ve been taught by my parents not to seek for worldly RICHNESS but WEALTHINESS that lies inside one’s heart. It’s the most worth seeking for even if the world turned upside down! The ‘$’ sign doesn’t appeal me much because it can be blown away by my mum’s hair blower or turned into ashes in my Dad’s kitchen! (grin)

AROUND
I have people AROUND me so I don’t feel lonely even though I need to beat my own coldness when the lonely has arrived. Kidding! Eventually, I need someone who can be AROUND me - He doesn’t have to be 24/7 next to me (I’m not hiring an invigilator or bodyguard), it’ll be a HELL if he does! Enough la if he can be AROUND when I was in ‘dire’ situation… When I need a hand to lift me up or when I need a someone to catch me if I’ve gone to far… Furthermore, I need someone who isn’t ashamed to cry (even if it means to tear down his utmost ego) when he needs to… It’s better to have someone besides you when you’re crying than locking inside a motionless store room like there’s no tomorrow. What could a store room pamper oh?

RIGHT
I’m waiting for the RIGHT person to come forward at the RIGHT time. It’s like you’re having your tasty meal at the RIGHT time, I mean before your stomach begins to growl (like a Godzilla or T-Rex)! RIGHT doesn’t need to be perfect in every aspect or every corner of life - It’d give me enough goosebumps to be with such MR. RIGHT. I’d rather hang out with a dextral person who is not ashamed of showing what he’s weak at. After all, relying on others isn’t that shameful, especially when she wants you to rely on her. If relying on others is pointless, then why does God bless us with shoulder? I would equate it as follows:

SHOULDER = RELIANCE + GOOD TIMES + BAD TIMES - EGO

In short…
I’m a plain jane who is looking for A.R.A (bukan Pokok Ara lah!). Relax… Have a life… But I don’t ask you to have a bar of Kit Kat! (You can have it if you’re starving, but remember to save a bar for me too!)

In order to be able to achieve and maintain happiness we need to, actively, be able to do two things:

  1. Complain and then let go (Dump the baggage, the roadblocks to happiness.)
  2. Express Gratitude (The open expression of gratitude promotes happiness.)

After all everyone has something to be grateful for and/or something to complain about. If you would like to share, please follow the appropriate link and do so: Are You Grateful? & Complain Complain Complain.

Marriage Quotes »

There was a man who said, “I never knew what happiness was until I got married…and then it was too late!”

Love is one long sweet dream, and marriage is the alarm clock.

They say when a man holds a woman’s hand before marriage, it is love; after marriage, it is self-defense.

When a newly married man looks happy, we know why. But when a ten-year married man looks happy, we wonder why.

There was this lover who said that he would go through hell for her.
They got married, and now he is going through hell.

A Code of Honor: Never approach a friend’s girlfriend or wife with mischief as your goal. There are just too many women in the world to justify that sort of dishonorable behavior. Unless she’s really
attractive. — Bruce Friedman

A coward is a hero with a wife, kids, and a mortgage. — Marvin Kitman

A gentleman is one who never swears at his wife while ladies are present.

A husband is living proof that a wife can take a joke.

A husband is what’s left of the lover after the nerve has been extracted. — Helen Rowland

Appraisal and Resignation »

Appraisal and Resignation

A newly joined trainee engineer asks his boss “what is the meaning of appraisal?”

Boss: “Do you know the meaning of resignation?”
Trainee: “Yes I do”
Boss: “So let me make you understand what a appraisal is by comparing it with resignation”

Comparison study : Appraisal and Resignation
In appraisal meeting they will speak only about your weakness, errors and failures.
In resignation meeting they will speak only about your strengths, past achievements and success.

In appraisal you may need to cry and beg for even 10% hike.
In resignation you can easily demand (or get even without asking) more than 50-60% hike.

During appraisal , they will deny promotion saying you didn’t meet the expectation, you don’t have leadership qualities, and you had several drawbacks in our objective/goal.
During resignation, they will say you are the core member of team; you are the vision of the company how can you go, you have to take the project in shoulder and lead your juniors to success.

There is 90% chance for not getting any significant incentives after appraisal.
There is 90% chance of getting immediate hike after you put the resignation.

READ IT RIGHT………………THEN WHAT FOR YOU ARE WAITING FOR
